A Legacy Tapped in Tradition

The roots of Graves Maple Products run deep — not just in the forests of Northern Pennsylvania, but through generations of hardworking family members who’ve poured heart and heritage into every drop of syrup.

A Message From Brandy & Joe

At Graves Maple Products, everything we do is rooted in honesty, hard work, and tradition. We’re Brandy and Joe—just a couple of down-to-earth folks with a deep love for our land, our craft, and the simple goodness that comes from doing things the right way.

Our maple syrup is 100% pure, organic, and made with care right here in Northern Pennsylvania, where our family has been tapping trees for generations. We believe that real food should be just that—real. No shortcuts, no additives—just wholesome products you can trust and feel good about sharing with your own family.

From our trees to your table, thank you for supporting our small business and letting us be a part of your story.

With gratitude,

Brandy & Joe Graves

The History

The Graves family’s American journey began in 1635, when John Graves sailed from England and settled in Concord, Massachusetts. From that point on, through Indian wars, the Revolutionary War, and the great migrations westward, the Graves name carried on. Eventually, the family found its way to Potter County, Pennsylvania, where Ezra Levi Graves and his descendants laid the foundation for what would become our family’s most cherished tradition.

Maple syrup making started on the family farm in the late 1800s when Roy Albert Graves and his wife Cora Seely tapped trees using buckets and oxen to haul sap. Syrup was boiled over an open fire and canned for the family to enjoy — a ritual rooted in self-sufficiency and seasonal rhythm.

Each generation added its mark. Nelson Graves purchased the current family farm in 1930, continuing the syrup-making legacy using horses, buckets, and a lot of grit. In the 1970s and ’80s, Nelson’s son Bob modernized the operation with wood-fired evaporators and expanded the tap count to over 1,000. By the late '90s, Bob’s son Joe and his wife Brandy returned to the craft, raising the next generation on the same land and passion.

In 2022, Graves Maple Products officially became an LLC — a partnership between Joe and Brandy and Bob and Barb — and launched its largest expansion to date. With over 7,000 taps across the family’s farm and a leased woodlot, the tradition of handcrafted, high-quality maple syrup continues stronger than ever.

At Graves Maple Products, maple isn't just a seasonal product — it's a year-round commitment to excellence, family, and the land we love. We’re proud to bring a little bit of that legacy to your table.
